I have recently joined the CLIMATE PARTY , whose leader is ED GEMMELL .
In particular, the Climate Party is highly motivated to field a candidate for the upcoming Holborn & St Pancras by-election (the seat from which Keir Starmer recently resigned). It would generate a lot of publicity and give them a platform to debate with and challenge the other parties.
Now, do not LAUGH, but, um – [blush] – I am to be that very candidate… as no-one else is available to do it.
Do not fear for my sanity. I am only a ‘paper candidate’ as I’m too busy to do anything on this other than have my name on the ballot. Others will do all the clever stuff. I will not take part in any of the hustings, indeed not even go to the vote count as Alistair McGowan will be performing at Red Hedgehog on 8 October, when voting takes place. (Of course, either Labour or the Greens will win this seat in any case.)

Our party will offer voters something different. We believe the political focus should be centred on wages, housing, energy, peace, public services and national renewal. Currently no other candidate offers the voters this choice.
The Greens with their support for the assisted dying Bill, and reckless backing for the war in Ukraine just this last week have shown voters they cannot be trusted to make choices that reflect the views of the majority of Britons. They are no alternative.
At a time when millions are struggling to heat their homes, pay their rent and provide for their families, we believe politics must focus on bread-and-butter issues and the economic wellbeing of ordinary people. Greens and Labour support sending endless £billions to Ukraine. Instead of addressing poverty, immigration, energy prices, they were voting together last week to introduce legislation to make killing people legal. We believe voters will welcome the chance to reject this madness.
We believe Britain's future lies in reindustrialisation, national sovereignty and economic policies that put workers, communities and productive industry first. For these reasons, we believe voters deserve a genuine socialist alternative, not simply another variation of the existing political consensus.

Tyler is a lawyer who has called London home for the past ten years, living across the capital from north to west. Alongside his legal career he has served as a school governor, volunteered in schools providing careers advice, and mentored aspiring young lawyers who do not always have the connections to break into the profession.
He is an active member of his local community and attends church in the city, where he says he tries to live by the same values he wants to bring to public life, honesty, service and standing up for what is right.
We are being honest with the voters about this election.
Entirely because of mass immigration, this is not a seat a party promising deportations of any kind can win.

I am proud and honoured to have been selected for a byelection in the constituency where I have lived and worked for much of the past 20 years.
I love this place and so do the people whose doors I’ve knocked on in recent days – but it can be even better. I know times are tough in Holborn and St Pancras. My story of constant moving around flats is such a common story for Londoners – and I know many people here are really struggling right now. I’ll fight to turn this around.
Greens are underdogs here but we have the momentum – and I know we can achieve a historic victory in one of Labour’s safest seats. We will fight a positive campaign on the issues we know people care about, and to put as much pressure as we can on Labour to lower bills, for much more affordable housing and rent controls, to reduce massive wealth inequality and to make sure Labour don’t back down on climate action by allowing more North Sea drilling.
If elected, I will fight every day, in this constituency and in the Houses of Parliament, for the things people care about. Against injustice and on the side of ordinary people, not big money and the powerful.

As a shopfloor worker in manufacturing industries over decades, he has led and organised solidarity for strikes over jobs, wages, and union rights. In the UK and internationally, Jonathan joins efforts to defend Cuba’s socialist revolution, fight Jew-hatred, back immigrant rights and build the communist movement.

We are the only party to lower taxes and recover taxes from multinationals to fund our policies. We are the only party to write policies which tackle the root causes of poverty.
We would raise £40.5bn on a 5% turnover tax on multinationals Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Starbucks, Shell etc, who send all their profits abroad to avoid paying Corporation Tax (it would be offset against Corporation Tax - so British companies would pay less).
We would stop public spending on ‘woke’ diversity schemes and partisan campaigns. Also remove some additional ‘social requirements’ for Government contracts which are costing £379bn2 per year, prioritising value for money. Slashing these by 10% would save about £37.9bn.
I'm married with 3 children. I co-founded a food bank in NW3 during lockdown which gave me oversight of vulnerable people and insight into their needs.
I've been involved with various out-reaches over the years including helping the homeless, supporting destitute women and refugees. I’ve campaigned on parental views being represented in school RSE. I’m a member of the SACRE committee in my area. I work part time as a designer. In terms of lawmaking, the closer we align our laws with those of the creator, the more holistic the result. Only God’s laws (not man made laws) judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart to restrain wrongdoing.
